When an international culinary legend spent a morning with trainee chefs the atmosphere in the kitchens was one of reverence, respect and intrigue. Michelin star Swiss chef, Anton Mosimann visited Auckland Hotel and Chefs Training School (AHCTS) in Grafton, to see the students in action and share insights of his lifelong cookery career. The voice behind AHCTS’s 0800 00CHEF

For four years, David Dawson has been the man who answers the first inquiry calls to AHCTS from prospective trainee chefs. He started out training at AHCTS, has worked as a chef and run his own catering company. AHCTS students experience restaurant learning

Preparing a real meal for real diners in a restaurant setting is an exciting learning experience for Auckland Hotel and Chefs Training School cookery students. Family, friends, fellow students and chef tutors are invited to AHCTS to dine in the school’s restaurant, enjoying a delicious meal prepared entirely by the students.
