In November 2016, Sach Kadam joined the team of tutors at Auckland Hotel and Chefs Training School and he is looking after students in the National Certificate in Hospitality Cookery Level 2 course.

With plenty of experience, Sach was a sous chef and also worked at Auckland Fish Market. He enjoys cooking with fish and says New Zealand is blessed with great fresh produce.

During his time at Auckland Fish Market, Sach saw how difficult it was to employ skilled chefs and Auckland Hotel and Chefs Training School (AHCTS) students were very capable in the restaurant kitchen.

He could have a little bias because Sach is an AHCTS graduate and his experience helps him understand the challenges students encounter.

“Theory can be difficult and I understand that many students are stronger with the practical work,” says Sach. “I keep students motivated without stressing them with lots of theory work.”

Other restaurants Sach has gained exceptional experience in are; Café Hanoi, The Foodstore and TriBeCa.
