History & commitment

Our school was first established in 1986 and is the only private hospitality and chefs’ training school of its type in central Auckland.

Our focus is purely on food service training. In 1989, Auckland Hotel and Chefs Training School achieved NZQA accreditation (New Zealand Qualifications Authority) and it is 100% New Zealand owned and operated.

Our NZQA accreditation ensures that our standards of education are set high and remain high, this, in turn, ensures our qualifications are both recognised and respected internationally.

Much of our success is attributed to the exceptional dedication and enthusiasm shown by our tutors. They all currently work within their chosen fields and have a minimum 15 years industry experience. As a result, our tutorial standards are very high and relevant to today’s industry standards.
