Chef Tutor

Alex embarked on his career as a professional chef in 1986. Once attaining his qualifications from the London School of Cordon Bleu Cookery he travelled extensively to gain valuable overseas experience.  Working in well-known restaurants in; London, Sydney, The Cayman Islands and New Zealand.  Alex then spent the next ten years further honing his culinary skills in exclusive high-end catering companies in Sydney and Auckland.

Completing a Bachelor’s degree in English and Media studies, Alex decided to contribute to the wider community by helping to train New Zealand’s next generations of chefs. Alex joined the Auckland Hotel & Chefs Training School in March 2010 as a Chef Tutor and is responsible for presenting the level three cookery units. Alex is currently completing a Diploma in Adult Learning and Teaching at AUT.
