Alex Baudoin
Chef Tutor

 

Alex is originally Dijon, Burgundy in France and grew up in Provence.  Alex has worked in the hospitality industry since 1995 in Europe and Australia, eventually settling in New Zealand in 2001.

Alex’s experience includes; Michelin starred restaurants in Europe, Five Star Hotels, Super Yachts and exclusive private catering. Alex has an excellent grasp of haute cuisine and constantly works to expand his knowledge and skills.  Whilst in New Zealand as Head Chef Alex has been awarded  the Best Café 2007- 2009 from Metro Magazine.

Alex joined the Auckland Hotel & Chefs Training School in March 2010 as a Chef Tutor and is responsible for presenting the level three cookery units. Alex’s enthusiasm and passion for the food industry enable him to be an inspirational teacher. Alex is currently completing a Diploma in Adult Learning and Teaching at AUT.
