Glen VernerChef Tutor
Glen’s career as a professional Chef began in 1983 in Sydney, Australia with a four year apprenticeship at Le Lavendou, Moving on as Sous-Chef at the Museum of Contemporary Arts with Chef Neil Perry. Glen then leased and successfully operated four Boutique Hotel Restaurants in Sydney. Returning to New Zealand in 2000, Glen became Executive Chef at the exclusive Okiato Lodge, Bay of Islands.
Glen joined the Auckland Hotel & Chefs Training School in March 2007 as a Chef Tutor and is responsible for presenting the level three cookery units. Glens qualifications include; London City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2, Food Safety (167), Assessors Certificate (4098) and a Certificate in Tertiary Teaching from AUT.
