National Certificate in Hospitality Level 3 (Basic Cookery)

A professional cookery course developed for students who have a passion for food and who wish to enter the hospitality industry at a high level. An industry training module is incorporated to provide students with real industry work experience and to gain useful contacts. Graduates from this course go on to work in a variety of kitchens or gain knowledge for their own business opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Upon successful completion of this course students achieve:

  • AHCTS Professional Cookery Certificate
  • NZQA National Certificate in Hospitality, Level 3
  •  Food Hygiene Certificate

CITY & GUILDS OF LONDON CERTIFICATE
Food Preparation and Cooking (Culinary Arts)
Available for an additional fee, this international recognised qualification is offered twice per year.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Open entry (16 years+)

TIMES/DURATION
Monday to Friday for 29 weeks
Courses start every month – call for dates and availability

FEES
Professional Chefs Uniform, Knife Set & cover are included.
Covers all texts, materials and school trips.
Prices available on application.
100% student loans are available for NZ residents.

CAREER PATHWAYS
Provides the student valuable experience to gain meaningful entry into all levels of hospitality and it is a stepping stone for a NZQA Level 4 qualification or Bachelor of Hospitality.
